I love this!
ReplyDeletei love that you thought it absolutely essential to bring a gift for your first-time visit.
ReplyDeletealso, we did a lot saturday/sunday in terms of some bathroom remodeling and getting more shelving up(an old communications switch box I got at a flea market) for books in my office. this prompted me to rearrange my books a bit. i have a whole cabinet for my own publications and my handmade books. this weekend, i separated the handmade books in general from the ones made expressly for me.
examples of items in the latter: your recent correspondence with rust-colored rock (i'm wearing the same color shirt today), the denver shrine items from selah (the devil taroh card, the chinese "$"), soham correspondence.
i want a fresca. i want a poem.
Oh. I want to see a photo of that bookshelf. Actually, I would rather sit on the floor in front of it (after washing my hands and giving you a prize) and touch all of the handmade books, and your publications, and correspondences. Yes, please. I want to do this the next time I am in NY.
